Some Suggestive Gifts for the 50th Wedding Anniversary

People who have lasted more than 50 years as a couple is considered to be a remarkable feat. These are often celebrated with a huge party and are sometimes considered as a renewal of vows.

Back in medieval times, the wife is presented with a golden wreath. Through the years, people have continued this tradition by giving each other jewelry, a pen or a clock that is made of gold.

It takes a lot of love and patience to make a couple last this long in a relationship. Instead of these two giving something, shouldn't it be time for the children and grandchildren to offer something back?

Family members can try doing a variety of things to make this event memorable.

1. The children could collect old photographs and create a slideshow presentation that will be show during the party. This will usually come from albums so the best way to preserve the images will be to put this on CD.

2. The grandchildren can write a poem dedicated to the couple. This can be written using gold ink so that this can be given and read by the couple. These people can have the masterpiece preserved by having this framed which guests and other people can view over and over again.

3. Parties are dull without anyone hosting the event. Someone in the family should act as emcee while others can sing and dance with the help of a choreographer to make this as great as possible.

3. If there are many siblings in the family, each member can work together to produce a quilt which symbolizes the love and care given by the parents while growing up.

4. The family can pool some money together to send off the parents on a trip around the world. These should be to places that both have always wished to go.

5. If a trip is too expensive, the family members can settle for a frame made of gold, which has a picture of everyone that can be hung in the living room wall.

6. A basket full of cookies and other goodies can be given as another way of congratulating the couple for making it this far and wishing the best for the future.

The 50th wedding anniversary is something truly worth celebrating. This can be done in a restaurant or in the house. The siblings should make sure there is enough room for everyone in the family and the guests to celebrate this occasion.
